Summer Sessions Begin

What an exciting first week of trainings. I got to see lots of familiar faces at IPA in Springfield for our Smart Board sessions. I traveled to Gallatin, TN and had a wonderful time with the teachers there. We explored digital natives and best technology practices to engage learners. Thank you, Gallatin! I loved spending the day with you. By the way, on my return flight I had some Vasaline in my suitcase and it exploded everywhere. HA! So, the next day as I prepared for my next session of training in Nixa with my homeys.. I didn't get my brush rid of all that oily stuff and ran it right through my hair. Boy was I a sight! I felt like one of those pelicans in the Gulf right now. LOL Luckily, my pals in Nixa just laughed with me and we had a great day talking about web tools and gadgets. The HUE webcam was a hit. Then, we had our first day of Official Smart Board training for the Nixa teachers. What a great group. Our lab was filled and the day flew by. We are going to have lots of Smart certified teachers this summer. I am so proud. Well, next week I am off to Maryland. I will catch up with you later.

Summer Fun & Learning

Summer is here and flying by. This is a great time to refresh ourselves and tackle some new ideas. I hope technology is at the top of your list this year. I have the wonderful opportunity to travel all over the place this summer and talk about integrating technology in the classroom.
